Before launching any app, there is a minimum security baseline that should never be skipped. It includes password protection, permission controls, input validation, encryption of sensitive data, and securing API integrations.
Many teams delay security until after launch, but fixing issues later is more expensive and far riskier. The better path is to review logs, recovery flows, user roles, and storage policies before public release.
Good security does not make the product slower. It makes the product more stable and trustworthy as it grows.
